Mahasiswa asal Inggris, Tom Hurndall meninggal akibat luka setelah ditembak langsung di bagian kepala oleh penembak jitu Israel ketika mencoba membawa anak-anak Palestina keluar dari daerah baku tembak di sana.

Hurndall tak bersenjata dan memakai Jaket pendar berwarna jingga yang dikenal sebaga jaket sukarelawan internasional. Dia ditembak pada 11 April 2003 dan tak pernah sadar sampai meninggal sembilan bulan kemudian di Rumah Sakit di kota London.

Penembaknya mengaku hanya melakukan perintah saat itu.
